Metal, in the space

A wall.
A landscape.

Natural oxidation leaves shades and variations in the metal. A surface becomes part of the architecture: it wraps a column, follows a wall and gives depth to light.

Bespoke metalwork by Simone Scapini. The photographs show the interiors where it belongs.

From volume
to detail.

The design can also be read at the points where elements meet. A fold, an edge, a joint between two sheets: up close, the cladding reveals its construction.

One continuous line.
From wall to staircase.

The dark wall gathers the light. Beside it, the profile of the staircase extends the language of metal into the home.

Cladding a volume

Even fire
has a frame.

A metal surface wraps the fireplace and defines its presence in the room. A restrained volume, between the pale wall and the warmth of wood.

The value
of authenticity.

The craft

Metal cladding and metalwork by Simone Scapini. The photographs show the settings that house them: they do not attribute the entire interior design or all the furnishings to Simone. The Cannettato staircase is by Luca Zanaroli and Simone Scapini.

The images

Images marked “AI photographic study” are editorial interpretations and may alter details of the work or its setting. The links beside them show the original photographs, which remain the reference for the details.

Studies of form

The three-dimensional animations are illustrative studies of line and material. The staircase in the contact section is an original 3D model inspired by the folded metal treads of “Fuori Salone Milano” in the Scapini Design portfolio. It is a study of form, rather than a reconstruction to scale. The Loretta film is an AI interpretation of the original photograph.
