Designed for your space.
Forged by hand, one at a time.
First, a line.
Then, a sense of wonder.
A staircase can connect two floors.
Or give character to an entire home.
It begins with listening, observing, drawing. Then iron meets the hands and finds its form.

A selection by Simone ScapiniBeyond
the staircase.
One pair of hands. From the iron that defines a space to the details that give it character.

The value is
in the hands.
Drawings on the bench. Marks in the metal.
This is where an idea begins to inhabit a space.
First,
an idea.
The project takes shape through drawings, proportions and images. Every line seeks its place.

Then,
the gesture.
The hands follow the drawing, bring the iron into place and check the curve. The character of the work takes shape here, too.

Finally,
a form.
A model makes volumes and relationships visible. The staircase finds a balance with the space around it.

Simone
Scapini.
“I am a creative craftsman.”
Hot-forged iron is his language. Sinuous lines, attention to detail and a continuous dialogue with space give each work its character.
Conversations with painters, musicians and other professionals broaden his perspective. A project grows from these encounters and finds its form in the workshop.

Light, too,
is a material.
A surface can hold light, reflect it and change with your point of view. A finish adds another voice to the design.
