ABOUT SCAPINI
Simone Scapini is a master of wrought iron, with over 35 years of experience in creating unique, custom-made works.
His journey began as an apprentice in a traditional workshop, where he learned the secrets of hot forging. Over time, he reinterpreted this ancient craft, preserving its essence while transforming it into contemporary art.
Described by experts as “Gaudí-like” for the elegance and fluidity of his lines, Scapini is also known as “the tailor of staircases”, for his rare ability to follow the perfect rhythm of steps and to shape iron with the precision of haute couture applied to architecture.
His mastery has earned international recognition: from the Master’s Diploma awarded by the Association of Designers of Russia (2017, Nizhny Novgorod, “Russian Design Capital”), to second place at the European Forging Championships (2001), and third place at the European Biennial of Blacksmithing Art (2001, Innovation section), along with special mentions at the World Forging Championships (2007, 2009).
His works are not just gates or staircases: they are functional sculptures, uniting strength, elegance, and poetry. Each detail tells a story of passion, precision, and harmony.
Today, Scapini collaborates with architects, designers, and artists on projects where functionality meets aesthetics and luxury, carrying his name far beyond Italian borders.
